Requirements for Carer Positions

  • Compassionate, dependable with a desire to provide the highest level of care
  • QQI Level 5 (Care Skills and Care of the Older Person) – we can assist in achieving these healthcare qualifications if needed
  • Fluent English
  • Access to a car

Your Role

  • To follow the Platinum detailed care plan
  • To work at all times within the policies and procedures of Platinum Homecare
  • To develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • To use the Platinum monitoring system in accordance with the company guidelines.
  • To undertake additional responsibilities as requested by your assigned Care Manager following the successful completion of specific training and personal skills development.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required

Training

Platinum Learning Centre will always focus on career development. We strive to empower carers to be the best they can be now and to provide upskilling options at regular intervals to ensure we are looking to and preparing for the future of Home Care in Ireland.

Advanced levels of service comes through highly skilled carers who are confident in the knowledge that they are supported at every turn.

Our vast experience of Home Care will ensure that Platinum trained Carers will always have access to our accredited courses which will ensure training is an ongoing part of their life as a Carer with Platinum Homecare.

In addition, we can provide access to the relevant modules of your QQI Level 5 qualification as well as the QQI Level 5 major award.

Specific training will be available around our client centered care programme. This will address the specific and individual needs of each client and ensure our Carers are equipped and trained to manage and feel comfortable in their care environment.

Access and updates to training provided will then be available to you our carer on our online portal for revision and reminders.

Our trainers will be fully experienced and informed in all levels of the care process. Our aim is to provide a professional development framework to increase job satisfaction and provide the highest standard of training available.
